What we collect

We collect account information, website URLs you submit, audit results, connected-site identifiers, subscription status and product activity needed to provide PressMender.

WordPress access

PressMender does not request or store your normal WordPress login password. Connections use a revocable WordPress Application Password. The credential is encrypted at rest and used only to provide requested PressMender features.

Public audits

The free audit reads publicly available website pages and technical signals. It does not change your website.

AI processing

When AI features are enabled, relevant audit and content context may be sent to our AI service provider to produce the requested output. We do not intentionally send WordPress credentials in AI prompts. We retain monthly feature-usage counts to enforce the allowance shown with each plan.

Launch notices

If you explicitly request a Growth launch notice, we store that consent with your account email and send one availability email. You can withdraw the request in the same upgrade dialog or delete your account data.

Payments

Payment details are processed by our payment provider. PressMender does not store full card numbers.

Your choices

You can revoke WordPress access from your WordPress user profile, cancel a subscription, or request deletion of your PressMender data.

Retention

Account, audit, connection and change-history data is retained while your account is active so the product can provide history and rollback. You can request account deletion at any time. Short-lived authorization state expires automatically, and operational product events are retained only for bounded product and security analysis. Legal or payment records may be retained where required.
